Integrated Marketplace: Heavy-Duty Low and Zero Emission Vehicles Trucking Project (HDZEV)

The Heavy-Duty Low and Zero Emission Vehicles (HDZEV) pilot test project is working to de-risk and accelerate the adoption of zero and low emission trucks for operators throughout the province.

Operating with funding from Transport Canada, the Province of British Columbia's Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) and Prince Rupert Port Authority, the project is delivered through Innovate BC's Integrated Marketplace program in collaboration with the Prince Rupert Port Authority and other regional stakeholders.

Target Outcomes + Goals


  • Inform and contribute to collective efforts around decarbonizing and strengthening B.C.'s logistics sector
  • Generate valuable data around the cost, capability and operational requirements of integrating zero and low emission vehicles into operational fleets
  • Enhance British Columbia's ability to adopt zero and low emission vehicles across provincial industries
