Jinny Wu

Jinny is an accomplished senior communications and marketing professional with over 15+ years of experience in corporate communications and public relations in the tourism, health and government sector. At Innovate BC, she leads marketing and communications as well as sponsorships and events. 

Before joining Innovate BC, she led the development and delivery of the communications strategy for the award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre, overseeing media relations, issues and crisis management, internal communications, public relations, community engagement and stakeholder relations. She has developed many compelling marketing communications campaigns over the years that leveraged the most high-profile events to come to Vancouver, BC, including Women Deliver, TED Conferences and Grey Cup Festivals.

Jinny has also led external communications for the world-renowned BC Cancer Agency, gaining global recognition for the Agency’s breakthrough cancer research and clinical programs.

Jinny is a past Board of Director for the International Association of Business Communicators BC (IABC/BC), and the Downtown Vancouver Association. She is a mentor with Ascend Vancouver and a former mentor for communications students through IABC/BC.
