Sonali Sharma, MBA

Sonali is an impact entrepreneur and a learning professional with experience leading sustainability driven programs in NGOs as well as private sector. In 2017, she co-founded Nugu Home, a social business that collaborates with indigenous communities in rural India to build sustainable micro-factories, thereby creating high paying jobs for craftspeople. She won the prestigious Times entrepreneur award in 2020 and successfully expanded Nugu Home from a rural business to a global brand.

At Innovate BC, Sonali manages the Integrated Marketplace program and provides support to the alliance members. She catalyses the timely and effective achievement of program strategic goals while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.

Sonali has a MBA from University of Roehampton, London and a certificate in Design Thinking from MIT. She has also been a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs and talks passionately about Sustainable Business Models, DEI, Impact Thesis, & Theory of Change.
