Are you a B.C.-based company ready to demonstrate a prototype of your technology?
In partnership with NRC IRAP, we are pleased to launch the B.C. Fast Pilot Program. This initiative provides small- to medium-sized companies (SMEs) up to $200,000 to design, build, and operate a pilot plant or small demonstration of their technology at a prospective customer site with the goal of achieving a product sale.
Testing new technology in real world conditions is a common challenge for SMEs aiming to commercialize new technologies. Pilot implementations are an essential but often expensive step to take in the commercialization process. The B.C. Fast Pilot Program is designed to support SMEs by helping them measure the value of their technology through a pilot installation.
Priority areas for funding include, but will not be limited to:
- Regional B.C. SMEs and pilot implementations/sites, especially outside the Lower Mainland.
- Pilot initiatives in the cleantech sector (defined as processes, products, or services that reduce negative environmental impacts through significant energy efficiency improvements, the sustainable use of resources, or environmental protection activities).
- Pilot initiatives related to emergency management and involving Indigenous communities or organizations.
To apply for this funding, first read the Program Guidelines, and then work with your IRAP ITA to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements. The first application deadline is May 28th, 2020.
