“What Works” women in tech series on now

BC Tech’s Women in Tech Series is in full swing and we’re excited to be a Silver Sponsor. With events taking place until the beginning of December, the #WhatWorks series is featuring roundtable discussions and skills workshops aiming to boost the participation of women in tech. At the end of the series, B.C. Tech will publish a #WhatWorks guide for the industry, a set of practical actionable strategies to include women in real working success stories.  

As we represent the government of British Columbia and the people who make up the innovation ecosystem in the province, Innovate BC is proud to be involved in this initiative.

Speaking Up – November 6th 
In this workshop, led by BC Tech CEO Jill Tipping, you’ll learn tools for effective communication and public speaking to equip you to be heard. 

Careers in Tech – November 13th 
Develop strategies for a successful tech career from job search through progression in this workshop led by David Hargreaves, VP of Strategy and Business Development at Seaspan Shipyards.  

#WhatWorks Roundtable – November 21st 
Explore #WhatWorks and hear stories from B.C. companies that have deployed successful strategies in increasing the involvement of women. 

Mental Toughness – December 4th 
Led by Canadian Armed Forces veteran Sean Bacon, build your inner game to thrive through change and deliver your mission at this unique workshop.
