Marilyn Loewen Mauritz

Marilyn leverages over two decades of executive leadership, consistently delivering high-impact results and fostering sustainable, long-term value for diverse stakeholders. She was appointed Chief Legal Officer of Central 1 in July 2024.  Prior to joining Central 1, Marilyn served as Principal of Altapeak Law Corporation, advising companies on strategy, legal and governance to scale and expand their businesses. Her former roles include Chief Organizational Development Officer at Atlas Corp., interim Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Transformation & Legal Officer at Central 1 and General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Interfor Corporation.

In addition to InnovateBC, Marilyn serves as an independent director of Powerex Corp. and YWCA Canada. Previously, she served on the Board of Governors of BCIT.  She obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Calgary and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University. Marilyn is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors, ICD.D.
