Tom Nyberg

Recognized for his strategic leadership and product making experience for global markets and customers, Mr. Nyberg works at Finning Digital as Product and Solutions Leader and with his team creates new Performance and Productivity enhancing customer solutions for Finning’s global customer base in Construction, Mining, Energy and Transportation sectors. 

Between 2012-2017, Mr. Nyberg was Senior Director and General Manager at Samsung Research Canada and its Vancouver Enterprise Lab. He managed the ramp-up and day to day operations of the site while supporting Samsung’s global design, development and technical support of Samsung Mobile's B2B business initiatives such as the Samsung KNOX™ enterprise mobile security solution. 

Prior to joining Samsung Canada, Mr Nyberg held a series of senior product, software and business development roles at Nokia. Through international positions in Germany, the U.S. and Canada, he has gained unique global insights and knowledge of the international mobile market. 

Mt Nyberg also serves as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Finland to BC and Yukon. 
As an Honorary Consul, Mr. Nyberg promotes economic and cultural relations between Finland and Canada, and works directly with Government entities and companies of both countries. 

He holds a Master of Science (Engineering) degree from Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University). 

Over the past several years, he has contributed to the Vancouver technology sector through various roles and now serves as member of the External Advisory Council of SFU’s Faculty of Applied Sciences.
 
Since 2004, Mr Nyberg and his wife Selja have lived in Vancouver with their three children.
