50% of companies on the 2019 Ready to Rocket list benefited from Innovate BC programs

Last month, over 100 familiar names landed on the 2019 Ready to Rocket list. Ready to Rocket is a unique business recognition list that profiles B.C. tech companies with the greatest potential for revenue growth. Each year, top private companies that are best positioned to capitalize on the trends for growth are identified.

We’re proud to say that more than half of the companies on this year’s list have benefitted from one or more of Innovate BC’s programs.

The Ready to Rocket list is broken down into five categories: agri-food, cleantech, digital health, ICT and life sciences, with both established and emerging companies identified. Keep reading to see how exactly each of the named companies took advantage of the programs that we offer.

Ignite

Innovate BC’s Ignite program provides up to $300,000 to fund innovation projects in the areas of natural resources, applied science and/or engineering. These past awardees made the list:

Innovation Marketplace

The Innovation Marketplace links technology buyers (industry and government) with technology solution providers through a challenge process designed to solve mission-critical business problems. These tech buyers and providers made the list:

Innovator Skills Initiative

The Innovator Skills Initiative (ISI) offers up to $10,000 a year to hire a business or tech student and is delivered by our partner New Ventures BC. See who hired a student and made the list:

New Ventures Competition

The Innovate BC-New Ventures Competition drives the growth of early-stage technology companies by providing mentorship, business seminars, networking events and recognition. Over 50 competition alumni made the 2019 list:

Tech Co-op Grant Program

Whether you’re a technology-based company looking to grow or a non-tech business looking to grow your innovation footprint, you could get up to $10,800 per year in funding to hire co-op students through the Tech Co-op Grant Program. See who hired a student and made the list:
